Privacy & Terms

Last updated July 27, 2026

This page explains, in plain language, how Reply or Run handles your information (the Privacy Policy) and the basic terms for using it (the Terms of Use). By using Reply or Run, you agree to both. If anything here is unclear, email us — we'd rather explain than leave you guessing.

The short version

  • ·Reply or Run is an openly-AI entertainment and vibe-check tool — not therapy, and not professional relationship, legal, or medical advice.
  • ·We don't sell your personal data, and we never send your conversation content to analytics.
  • ·To generate a read, the text you paste is processed by a third-party AI provider.
  • ·You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time.

What Reply or Run is (and isn't)

Reply or Run reads dating texts and gives you an honest, opinionated take for fun and perspective. It is not a substitute for professional advice, and its reads and predictions can be wrong. Use your own judgment for anything that matters. If a conversation involves abuse, threats, coercion, or you feel unsafe, step away from the app and reach out to someone you trust or a local support service.

Reply or Run is intended for adults (18+). Please only paste conversations you're comfortable sharing, and be thoughtful about other people's privacy — don't post identifying details about someone publicly.

Information we collect

  • ·Account info. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture, and a Google account identifier.
  • ·Content you provide. The nicknames you set, the conversations you paste, your chats with the bestie, and the cards generated from them.
  • ·Usage analytics. Anonymous product events (screens viewed, features used) to understand what's working. This never includes your conversation content.
  • ·Technical data. Standard information like device type, browser, and approximate region that our hosting and analytics providers process to run the service.
  • ·Notification settings. If you turn on check-ins, we store your choice of channels and topics. For email we keep a copy of your account email address; for push we keep the anonymous subscription your browser issues for each device.

How we use it

  • ·To generate your reads, reply drafts, and profile cards.
  • ·To save your contacts and cards to your account so they're there when you return.
  • ·To keep the service secure and to understand and improve how it's used.
  • ·To send you occasional check-ins, but only on the channels you turned on, and at most once a week.

Check-in messages

Notifications and emails are off until you switch them on, and you can switch them off any time from your profile or from the unsubscribe link in any email. The wording is written by AI, but it never receives your conversations, your chats, your nicknames, or the contents of your cards — and check-in messages never name a person, quote a message, or reveal a verdict, because they may appear on a locked screen.

AI processing and service providers

To produce a read, the conversation text you paste is sent to a third-party AI provider that runs the language model. We also rely on providers for cloud hosting and storage, sign-in, and privacy-friendly product analytics. These providers process data on our behalf, and your data may be processed in other countries. We share your information only with providers like these, or where required by law — we do not sell it.

Data retention and your choices

We keep your account and content while your account is active. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data — including deleting your account entirely — by emailing us at the address on our Contact page. We'll process reasonable requests promptly.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser storage for essential things like keeping you signed in and remembering your device. We don't use them for third-party advertising.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no online service can be 100% secure. Please keep your Google account secure, since it's how you sign in.

Sharing cards

If we offer a shareable version of a card, it's designed to strip identifying details — no name, nickname, or photo — so what you share stays about the vibe, not a real named person.

Terms of use

  • ·Use Reply or Run lawfully and for personal, non-commercial use.
  • ·The service is provided "as is," without warranties, and its reads are opinions for entertainment — not guarantees.
  • ·To the extent allowed by law, Reply or Run isn't liable for decisions you make based on its output.
  • ·We may update, pause, or discontinue features as the product evolves.

Changes to this page

We may update this page as the product changes. When we do, we'll update the date at the top. Continuing to use Reply or Run after a change means you accept the updated version.
